Early this year, I visited Bangalore Central, MG Road, the place where I was working a decade ago. It wasn't a planned visit but as I was approaching that Mall, I felt nostalgic so I parked my car and went inside. I directly went to the 3rd Floor to visit my Lee and Wrangler counter and as expected it was still there. Visiting the counter after a long time brought back many memories and weakened my knees. Surprisingly, I also found out that my old friend from the next counter was still working there, I didn't see that coming. I went straight to him and gave a tight (I missed you kind of) hug, he was taken by surprise. We had a great conversation and as usual, he was folding the clothes as we continued talking (that's common in retail industry so I don't mind it ). He asked me about my work, but I knew if I tell about what I have achieved, he'll be intimidated. So, I told him that we are all hustlers and we laughed together wholeheartedly.
That evening, I pondered about the journey my friend and I had taken together. We were in the same boat a decade ago, in fact, he used to teach me about sales. Then what makes us different? Definitely, I am neither smarter nor better than him. But, I was full of HOPE, while he was complaining about his life. Even that day, he was explaining about his life’s miseries, forgetting that we are meeting after a decade. Guys, be hopeful because it is possible... If you are uncomfortable about your current situation, then do something about it! Move your rear, Amigos!
